Napier Community Patrol: Making Our City Safer, Together

Welcome to the Napier Community Patrol

The Napier Community Patrol got its wheels rolling in 2006 thanks to a call for volunteers in the local paper. We have grown since then to more than 150+ dedicated volunteers who work alongside the New Zealand Police to deter crime and build a safer Napier for everyone.

The Napier Community Patrol now has a selection of vehicles and is one of the most successful patrols in New Zealand. We maintain continued patrols in specific residential, business, and commercial areas, plus at events including large sporting events.

What We Do

High-Visibility Patrols

Our volunteers patrol public areas in marked vehicles, acting as a visible deterrent to crime.

Community Engagement

We build relationships with residents and businesses, fostering a sense of community and belonging.

Reporting and Observation

We report suspicious activity to the Police, acting as extra eyes and ears on the streets.

Event Taskings

We provide support at community events, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
